Bio:
Cimonie Martinez is from Lochbuie, Colorado, where she has lived for 17 years. She comes from a close-knit family of four, with a younger sister who shares her passion for sports, particularly basketball, softball, track, and soccer. Cimonie’s mother works as a Dental Assistant Supervisor at Children’s Hospital Colorado, while her father is a Superintendent for a structural engineering company, ASR. As a family, they enjoy traveling, camping, attending college football games, and participating in various sports events together.

Cimonie is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a passion she has had since childhood. She has always enjoyed working with children and is dedicated to helping and teaching the younger generation. On the basketball court, her goals for college include becoming stronger under the basket for rebounds on both offense and defense, contributing across the court, improving her left-hand ball handling, shooting 90% or higher at the free-throw line, and staying hydrated by drinking 120 ounces of water daily.

During her senior year at Riverdale Ridge High School, Cimonie and her team won the school’s first-ever State Championship in basketball in 2024, following an Elite 8 appearance in the State Playoffs in 2023. Throughout her high school career, she consistently contributed with high assists, steals, and deflections. Cimonie was recognized as Player of the Game seven times, earned high academic honors, and received both the Raven of the Year award and the Iron Woman award.
