Emmylou Clark, who was announced as Interim Head Coach for CNCC's 2024 softball season, brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, hailing from Tucson, Arizona.

Clark's journey in softball began as a player at Louisburg College from 2012 to 2014, followed by an impactful stint at Sterling College from 2014 to 2017. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a Club Recreation & Fitness emphasis, Clark transitioned seamlessly into the coaching realm.

Her coaching odyssey commenced in 2017-18 as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater, San Manuel HS in Tucson. This experience marked the beginning of her dedication to nurturing young talent. From 2018 to 2020, Clark expanded her coaching horizons by serving with DoDEA Europe in England, a testament to her commitment to fostering softball globally.

In 2020-21, Clark took on the role of Hitting Coach for North County Sports Academy in San Diego, California, showcasing her expertise in honing the offensive skills of aspiring athletes. Since 2021, she has donned the hat of Head Coach for SOZA Fastpitch Softball, a premier travel team based in Tucson, Arizona. Under her leadership, SOZA Fastpitch Softball has earned a reputation as one of Arizona's elite fast pitch travel teams, attesting to Clark's prowess in coaching and player development.

Emmylou Clark's multifaceted coaching experience, spanning from high school to international levels, reflects her passion for the sport and commitment to shaping the next generation of softball players. As she enters her second season with CNCC, her diverse background and coaching acumen position her as a valuable asset to the Spartan softball program, ensuring a season marked by growth, development, and success.
