Garrett Uptain, now in his second year leading CNCC's rodeo program, has deep roots in the world of rodeo, hailing from the rugged landscapes of Craig, Colorado. Born and raised on a small ranch just outside of town, Garrett's journey in rodeo is more than a profession; it's a way of life ingrained in his family's heritage.

In the true spirit of a rodeo family, Garrett's upbringing was surrounded by the thrill and tradition of the sport. Both his mother and father were seasoned competitors, and his brother continues to carry the family legacy in the arena. From the dusty arenas of small-town rodeos to the grand stages of professional circuits, rodeo is more than a passion for Garrett, it's a tradition passed down through generations.

Garrett's personal journey through the ranks of high school, college, and professional rodeo has been nothing short of remarkable. His intimate knowledge of the sport is a testament to his four CNFR qualifications during his college years. Notably, he boasts an impressive record of seven consecutive trips to the Mountain States Circuit Finals and two appearances at the prestigious Ram National Circuit Finals. His continued affiliation with the PRCA, holding his contestant card, underscores his ongoing commitment to rodeo at the professional level.

As Garrett steps into his second year at the helm of CNCC's rodeo program, he brings not just expertise but a genuine love for the sport.
