The Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) men's and women's soccer teams both celebrated victories on Saturday, securing key conference wins over Pacific Northwest Christian College. The Spartans showcased their talent and determination on their home field, with the women winning 11-0 and the men earning a 2-1 victory.
Women's Soccer: Spartans Dominate in 11-0 Victory
The CNCC women's soccer team put on an offensive clinic, overwhelming Pacific Northwest Christian College with an 11-0 win. The Spartans were relentless from the start, scoring five goals in the first half and adding six more in the second to seal the victory.
Chloe Vowell opened the scoring in the 5th minute with an unassisted goal. Lilly Wittwer and Amelia Warner quickly followed with goals, while Allee Williams and Avery Cardenas also found the back of the net. Amelia Warner led the charge with a hat trick, while Williams contributed with two goals and three assists. Wittwer also scored twice, and Cardenas and Vowell added to the scoring tally. The Spartans recorded an impressive 42 shots, 16 of which were on target.
Goalkeeper Jasmine Hernandez continued her strong season, keeping a clean sheet with three saves to ensure the shutout. CNCC's defense was rock solid, limiting Pacific Northwest Christian College to only four shots on goal.
Men's Soccer: Spartans Hold Off Pacific Northwest Christian College for 2-1 Win
The CNCC men's soccer team earned their second conference win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Pacific Northwest Christian College. Dillon Bingham was the star of the match, scoring both goals for the Spartans. His first goal came in the 5th minute, assisted by Hinkley Heaton, giving CNCC an early lead. Bingham added his second goal in the 74th minute with an unassisted effort, extending the Spartan advantage.
Despite Pacific Northwest Christian College scoring in the 79th minute, CNCC's defense held strong to secure the win. Alejandro Jimenez had an outstanding performance in goal, making three saves to help the Spartans maintain their lead.
