RANGELY, Colo. (February 15, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team lost a Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Tuesday.
 
CNCC dropped a 91-52 decision at the feet of visiting USU Eastern, trailing at halftime and never recovering momentum. The Lady Spartans fell to 8-17 with the loss, alongside a mark of 3-11 in Scenic West play.
 
After narrowly trailing 21-17 to end the first quarter, CNCC was outscored 25-8 in the second quarter and shot just 3-of-17 from the floor in the period. Despite the loss, Ashana Hinds had a strong performance, finishing with 21 points.  Erin Mauro also scored 10 points. 
 
Colorado Northwestern will host USU Eastern again Thursday, then will travel to play a pair of games against Salt Lake Community College.
