RANGELY, Colo. (October 8, 2022) – A home match ended in a thrilling victory for the Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Soccer program.
CNCC downed Southern Nevada at Rangely High School Saturday, moving to 1--1 on the year against the Lady Coyotes after a 5-1 victory. Colorado Northwestern is now 3-10-1 overall and 2-6-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Lady Spartans took control in the match early, thanks to
Cadence Young scoring a goal in the third minute.
Bailee MacDonald then added a goal in the seventh minute to up the CNCC lead to 2-0.
After CSN cut the deficit to 2-1,
Jillian Garcia added a goal in the 74
th minute, followed up by Young scoring another goal in the 81
st minute. Jaquelyn Solis Monti posted a goal in the 86
th minute.
CNCC held a 33-7 advantage in total shots.
Emma Swain made four saves for the Lady Spartans.
The Lady Spartans will play on the road next week at Central Wyoming.
