RANGELY, Colo. (January 22, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Men's Basketball program fell in a Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Saturday.
Playing their third game in as many days, the Spartans lost a 77-67 decision with the College of Southern Nevada, falling to 0-2 on the season against the Coyotes. With the loss, CNCC is now 5-13 overall and 3-8 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
In a game that was back-and-forth, Southern Nevada jumped out to an early lead in the game, leading by as many as 17 points in the first half. CNCC fought back to trail 42-37 at halftime, but CSN kept its edge throughout the second half.
Tommy Huynh finished with 13 points, while
Trevon Cason scored 12 points.
Dom Rivas posted 11 points and 4 rebounds.
Colorado Northwestern will play next on February 3 against Snow College.
