RANGELY, Colo. (March 27, 2021) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team powered to a comeback victory in a Scenic West Athletic Conference road game Saturday.
The Lady Spartans earned an upstart 86-82 win over the College of Southern Nevada, thanks to a strong fourth-quarter performance. CNCC is now 5-14 overall and 3-12 in Scenic West play with the victory.
Colorado Northwestern trailed early behind CSN, behind 20-10 after the first quarter. After trailing 40-28 at halftime, CNCC went on a 38-20 run in the fourth quarter to eventually move to the win.
CNCC's defense forced 27 Southern Nevada turnovers in the win. Offensively, the Lady Spartans were led by
Cameron Tsosie's 23 points.
Aiesha Feagins scored 21 points, while Mckleigh Begaye posted 14 points.
Colorado Northwestern will play next in the upcoming Region 18 tournament.Â
