RANGELY, Colo. (November 16, 2021) - 'Momentum' seems to be the common word around the Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball program these days. 

CNCC earned a 63-56 win over Western Wyoming Community College Tuesday, using a second-quarter run to earn the victory. With the win, the Lady Spartans are now 3-0.

Colorado Northwestern made its mark in the second quarter, going on a 20-12 run to earn a 34-27 lead at halftime. CNCC stretched the lead to as large as 13 points late in the fourth quarter, holding off a late run by Western Wyoming. 

Defense was the key for the Lady Spartans in the win, with CNCC forcing 20 WWCC turnovers and holding Western Wyoming to just 12.5 percent shooting (2-of-16) from three-point range.

Ashana Hinds scored 20 points in the win, while Aiesha Feagins finished with 16 points. Erin Mauro posted 11 points in the win.

Colorado Northwestern will travel to a Southern Idaho-hosted tournament this upcoming week.
