RANGELY, Colo. (February 21, 2020) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team suffered a loss in the final game of the regular season.
 
The Lady Spartans were downed 70-51 at home on Saturday, falling to 0-3 on the season against USU Eastern. CNCC's overall record is now 1-26.

Snow jumped out to a 34-20 lead at halftime before Colorado Northwestern mounted a comeback attempt, cutting the deficit to 46-41 entering the final period. Unfortunately, the comeback fell short as the Badgers outscored the Lady Spartans, 25-9, in the final period.

Courtney Freeman led CNCC with 18 points, while Hope Bondurant scored 10 points. Danielle Russo scored 8 points. 
 
Colorado Northwestern will face off against Snow College in the opening round of the Region 18 tournament this Thursday. The tournament will be played at the College of Southern Idaho.
